Last night we had the pleasure of meeting Rebekah Price and viewing her Fall/Winter collection at Pure. Two flutes of bubbly, a quick dash up the hill and back for a forgotten memory card and four laps of the boutique later we made a beeline to Rebekah when she had a free moment. We discovered not only is she sweet and beautiful, but she has impeccable taste that shows both in her jewlery pieces and her sense of personal style.
The pieces are dramatic, definitely the kind of jewelry that make a statement. It takes a certain kind of girl, one who is confident in her style and has an appreciation for local, hand crafted, well made elements in her wardrobe. It was obvious by the number of seriously classy ladies who showed at Pure for this exclusive trunk show.
Rebekah spoke to us about how important the way a piece of jewelry sits on the body is. Not only does it have to be beautiful, but if the piece doesn't lay properly it will end up looking like something you picked up off the rack. Her collection is carefully thought out and masterfully assembled. And its no wonder. Having studied at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in New York followed by a lucrative gig as an assistant to Elie Tahari, Rebekah learned from the industry's best.
Rebekah has a loyal following. We were so charmed by the special attention she gave to each of her clients as she spoke about her collection and assisted them in selecting pieces that suited their style. Its these personable qualities that have earned her a growing clientele for whom she designs custom pieces. We can only hope that will be us one day.
