A New Look

We're so excited to show you the new look of Beaux Mondes. The blog has evolved over the years both in style and content. Today we're doing it in a bolder, better and—yes—more beautiful way. That means a more streamlined colour palette; and an improved site layout that lets us highlight our photography and stories. There's some exciting ones in the works that will soon be published. And we'll post more often with what I hope you'll agree will be content with both style and substance. Take a look around, get a feel for the place and let us know what you think!

We’re tracking which stories you get most excited about and are focusing our content to better reflect what you’re looking for. So please feel free to leave us a comment, drop us a note, or tweet us your feedback- we love to hear from you!
As you may have noticed, we've added a section about collaborations. We love partnering with brands who align well with ours. If you have a collaboration idea or just want to say hello, head on over here and let's chat!

I HAVE TO THANK MY DEAR FRIEND JAY PERRY FOR TAKING THESE BEAUTIFUL PORTRAITS. WE'VE COLLABORATED ON SOME SHOOTS IN THE PAST. AFTER TAKING A COUPLE YEARS OFF TO FOCUS ON HIS FAMILY, JAY HAS RENOVATED AN INCREDIBLE STUDIO IN HAMILTON AND IS STARTING UP HIS WORK AGAIN. I WAS EXCITED TO BE ONE OF THE FIRST CLIENTS HE WORKED WITH IN HIS NEW SPACE.

She's Got Flare

Here it is! I'm so excited to finally show you my profile in the March issue of Flare Magazine. I feel like I'm floating on a cloud right now. When Assistant Fashion Editor, Jillian Vieira contacted me in December about the 'She's Got Flare' profile, I was thrilled, flattered, humbled. It was an array of emotions. In a matter of days the interview and photo shoot were set up and I was selecting outfit options with Jillian. Keeping it a secret this long hasn't been easy! In the issue, I share some of my favourite people and places in Hamilton -- from Ashley & Malone, who designed my new branding, to Two Black Sheep, where I like to go for a night out, to the Art Gallery of Hamilton, where I serve as Vice-Chair of CLiC, its young professionals collective. I also shared some style and beauty brands I love, including Pink Tartan, Vrai And Oro, F. Miller Skincare and Province Apothecary.

To be able to share my love of Hamilton, the places and people here that inspire me, and of course art and fashion.. it’s a truly special moment for me. I love capturing the beauty I find in unexpected places and changing the perception people have of Hamilton.

Eight years ago when I was an intern at Flare, I would have never imagined that I'd find myself on the pages of one of my favourite magazines. Words can't explain how humbled I am by this opportunity. Whether I’m creatively solving for public transportation issues or advocating for cultural vibrancy, I love contributing to building vibrant, sustainable, livable cities. Though some of my professional endeavours aren't covered in the profile -- my role as a marketer for the province's public transit agency and committee member for hpoGO and Tourism Hamilton, I'm happy to be recognized as someone with true civic pride.

You can find the profile in the March issue. Thank you so much Flare for this feature!
