Update Your Look with Stylish Specs

Fresh Frames for Spring with Clearly

Spring is in the air. And that means a fresh look for the new season – spectacles included. Clearly makes it easy and affordable to change up the look of your eyewear and have been my go-to for my contacts and frames since 2012.

I have some really bold frames, but I’ve actually been looking for a classic wear-with-everything style. And I found just the perfect pair! I love the Main and Central collection. The frames are stylish and sustainable – made with biodegradable Natura acetate. I opted for the Tuesday frame in a classic black. But they come in 5 colours for a unique look and 3 sizes so you ensure the optimal fit. And get this… they’re only $50. How can you beat that?

If you are new to buying glasses online, Clearly’s Face Shape Guide and MyFit tool will help you find the right frames to compliment your face and the perfect fit. Once you’ve decided on your glasses frames, you’ll want to think about the optimal lenses for your lifestyle and needs. Each pair of Clearly glasses feature Standard Air Lenses. What does that mean for you? They are impact-resistant polycarbonate that is up to 22% thinner than the standard lenses you’ll get from most retailers. I spend most of my day in front of the computer or on my iPhone. I’m sure you can relate! So I was looking for a solution to reduce digital eyestrain. Something 51% of adults struggle with! The KODAK BlueReflect™ Digital Protection lenses that have an anti-reflective coating and a specific filter for extra protection from artificial light. They have made a huge difference for me personally – less eyestrain, less headaches after a long day at work in front of the screen.

Frames for Every Face Shape

One of the things I truly love about Clearly is that they are socially conscious with a mission to improve eyesight for everyone.
With their Buy One, Give One program, a partnership they have with the Essilor Vision Foundation, for every pair of glasses bought, Clearly will donate a pair of glasses to someone in need. I love that they are making a positive impact on a global scale and helping to improve the lives and sight of those who need it most.

If you need to book an eye exam, Clearly has a storefront in Toronto and two in Vancouver to help with that! Then order online and they’ll arrive in your mailbox in no time!

So tell me, what do you think of my frames? I would love to know if have ordered eyeglasses from Clearly. Leave me a comment or tag me on Instagram @beauxmondes.

A guide to the 6ix with Aritzia

After my Instagram takeover with Aritzia, where I shared my favourite local spots in Toronto, I received so many DMs asking me to post the guide on the blog. I'm all about exploring the city and have an endless list of local spots I love. Here are just a few!

Aritzia_Broadview Hotel_03 Edit.jpg

Recently restored, The Broadview Hotel has a beautiful lobby café/bar and panoramic views of the Toronto skyline from the rooftop. Take the stairs on the way up to see the murals by Supermilk.

For those who love:

·      weekend staycations

·      when coffee and cocktails go together

·      rooftop views from the 6ix

With its pastel interior (and confetti flaked floors), Cafec Cancan’s window seat is perfect to cozy up for brunch. Take a peek behind the curtain at the back to see the “flamingo room”.

For foodies who adore:

·      cozy French bistros

·      rosé on tap

·      Tiffany Pratt designed the interior, ‘nuff said.

I can spend hours wandering the AGO marvelling at its art collection and architectural details. Take the sculptural staircase straight to the top for dramatic views.

For art lovers inspired by:

·      Frank Gehry’s architecture

·      Canadian and contemporary art

·      culture and community

This warm, inviting lifestyle shop in the Junction neighbourhood always inspires me to find beauty in the ordinary.

If you are seeking:

·      inspiration for your everyday

·      Scandinavian design

·      quality and craftsmanship

As if the bleacher style seating, Bondi beaches inspired wallpaper, and insta worthy interior isn’t enough, the best part of Baddie's is what comes out of the kitchen.

For coffee enthusiasts who love:

·      minimalist interiors

·      food that’s made for flat lays

·      the perfectly poured latte

The space is is #interiorgoals on its own. And the shop is thoughtfully curated with a collection of art, home and lifestyle goods, most by Canadian designers and makers.

If you're all about:

·      shopping local

·      gallery inspired interiors

·      connecting with the community

A sun soaked space to meet up with your girlfriends for an afternoon of pampering. Plus, they pop open the bubbly.

Perfect to treat you and your bestie to:

·      hair did, nails did, everything did

·      manis + Moet

Sugar Beach

The most magical winter scene - rows of pink umbrellas capped with a fresh snowfall at Sugar Beach.

For views from the 6ix:

·      inspired winter views

·      daydreaming about summer days ahead
