Back to School

With only a week of summer break left there is only one thing on our minds; back to school. We've had our fun this sunny season and it's time to get back to business. Along with the usual uneasy feelings that come with facing the prospects of a new school season there are a few things that can help calm those nervous butterflies. Whether you are living at home or moving away, this time of year marks a new beginning. In our minds, a new beginning quintessentially means fall wardrobe pieces, fun stationary and an overall revamp. We're all a bit worn out from summer festivities, so why not give your motivation a boost with some back to school shopping? This season's styles have landed and we couldn't be more excited to jump in. Fall 2012 is all about rich colours, major embellishments, geometric prints and statement coats. And style isn't limited to what we're wearing. We can't forget to prep our office or study spaces for the weeks to come. With room decor, there are so many options. When it comes to styling your space, it is important that it makes you feel happy and puts you in the right frame of mind to feel inspired and focused. And just to inspire us further we can't forget to enjoy the season's natural beauty as well; the deep hues of red, orange and yellow that fall to create a masterpiece on the forest floor and the brisk walks through the woods. We are convinced this is definitely a season we don't want to shy away from. Here are a few of our favourites for the back to school season.

1. Pens, by Lomoi
Let's not forget that paper and pens still do exist today and get our hands on some of these geo-cool writing tools - handmade with bamboo.

2. Ankle boot with studded toe, available at ZARA
These are gorgeous shoes, embellished with a little bit of rebel to make a classic back-to-school statement.

3. Unisex Bib Shirt, by Muttonhead Collective
Smooth curves, a peter-pan collar and all-organic cotton. Need we say more?

4. 9-5 Facial Cleanser available at Lush
Long hard hours means worn out skin and if almond oil, dove orchids and everlasting flower doesn't do the trick at the end of the day, then what else will?

5. Herman Miller Nelson Swag Leg Desk, available at EQ3
This piece was designed in 1958 but we think it serves perfectly even in today's modern office space.
