Our furniture only started arriving in late August. So we spent the summer glamping (sleeping on the floor). But now that most of the furnishings are here, it's time to transform our new home! The priority for me, has been creating a division of space within our unit -- a dining, living and office area. Our Victorian house has three levels and generous room sizes. Our condo on the other hand is open concept, so it's been quite the transition for me. Here's how I'm approaching styling the living area.
SOFA VS. SECTIONAL
Initially we decided to bring our two mid century style sofas with us from our house. After living with them over the summer, I've realized a sectional is going to be more functional in this space. The search is on!
This watercolor print by Lindsay Megahed, is part of West Elm's collaboration with Minted, a community of independent designers and artists.
MOROCCAN SHAG RUG
From the grey washed floors to the concrete ceilings, the condo is full of cool tones. I love the texture and warmth this shag rug brings to the living area. Plus our pups need something cozy to lay on.
Old Faithful Shop curates well crafted goods for the home. A modern take on a classic industrial lamp, I love the rich walnut base and brass accents on this lamp.
With a luxe marble tap, and streamlined shape and style, this coffee table from Structube adds elegance to a modern space.
I'll be sure to share a reveal post as soon as I'm finished styling our living room. Looking for more interior design inspiration? Follow me on Pinterest!
