Most weekends you'll find me exploring the city with a camera in hand. And toting around a bag with a combination of lenses, iPhones, chargers and sometimes even my Macbook Air. Blogger life. You feel me? I'm basically equipped for tabletop photography at any coffeeshop I stumble upon. Ask my friends. I'm certain bloggers spend more time standing on chairs than sipping their cappuccinos. (I did drink the one in this photo for the record). In an effort to streamline all the tech I'm carrying around, I have been searching for a stylish camera bag. And gals, I found THEIT bag for photographers.
THEIT was founded by Toronto's Nicole Fajardo. After jet-setting around the world as an international flight attendant and pursuing her passion for photography, she dreamed up the perfect travel companion, a fashionable and functional line of camera bags to carry her gear. THEIT recently launched The Colt, the first style in their leather collection. And when I saw a teaser photo of it a few months back I was quickly smitten. I reached out to Nicole to express my love for The Colt and we quickly bonded over our affinity for fashion, travel and my hometown Hamilton. Crafted in luxurious leather and gold hardware, this camera bag has two interchangeable straps which transition the bag from a day at the studio to a night out on the town.
I've been testing The Colt for the past couple weeks and it's served dual purpose for me on weekends. I shoot with a Nikon D750, which is a full frame model (not the one pictured here). So don't be fooled by the size of this camera bag. It easily accommodates this body with my 50mm 1.4F Nikkor lens, iPhone, keys, and a small wallet. And hand cream, perfume, lipstick and all those other things we girls feel are 'essentials'. Which means no need to carry around a handbag as well!
